Orange: There is a broad spectrum of nutrients in the humble orange. Most obviously, it is an excellent
source of vitamin C, but it also contains useful levels of vitamin A and other flavonoid antioxidants
(including alpha and betacarotenes, betacryptoxanthin,
zeaxanthin and lutein); Bcomplex vitamins, such as thiamin, pyridoxine and folates; minerals like potassium and calcium; and a variety of phytochemicals (such as Hesperetin and Narigenin).
It is low in calories, contains no saturated fats or cholesterol and is rich in dietary fibre from pectin.
